Key Responsibilities
- Resolve complex cross-functional design and business challenges by deconstructing problems into scalable Android solutions (Kotlin, MVVM/MVI, Jetpack Compose) and driving portfolio-wide improvements through simplification, optimization, and bottleneck removal.
- Lead the design and development of integrated enterprise applications, ensuring resiliency, scalability, and maintainability while aligning with architectural standards, modern AI-driven capabilities, and recommended engineering frameworks.
- Drive reliability and performance through disaster recovery planning, observability (dashboards, alerts, metrics), capacity and regression testing, chaos engineering, and recovery runbooks to ensure robust, production-ready Android solutions.
- Guide and mentor engineers across the SDLC by instilling best practices in code quality, test coverage, security, and Agile methodologies, while fostering adoption of modern Android technologies (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, MVVM/MVI).
- Evaluate and recommend emerging tools, frameworks, and AI technologies, champion architectural alignment, and simplify solutions to accelerate delivery and increase efficiency across large-scale application initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems (CIS), or related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)
- 7 years of experience in software development or related field
- 6 years of experience in any of the following: software engineering competencies frontend technologies (UI/UX), middleware (microservices and APIs), database technologies, DevOps
- 6 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development lifecycles through iterative agile development
Preferred Skills/Education

- Master's degree in computer science, CIS, or related field
- 6 years of experience writing technical documentation in a software environment, developing and implementing business systems within an organization and working with source code control systems
- 6 years of experience working with an IT Infrastructure Library framework, defect or incident tracking software, web services, and application and integration middleware
- 6 years of experience in systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and performing high level design for complex solutions
- 6 years of experience working with three or more of the following: continuous integration/continuous deployment tools, frontend technologies (UI/UX), middleware, database technologies, DevOps
- 4 years of experience leading teams, with or without direct reports
