About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for our Identity Access Management (IAM) Engineering team. The Lead engineer will lead the architecture, design, development, and delivery of IAM software solution (e.g. IBM Security Verify Governance, Oracle Identity Management, Sailpoint) in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Agile environment. Lead engagements with key stakeholders, subject matter experts (SME), and engineers to drive design and development of IAM solutions. In addition, the lead engineer will mentor others on the project team.
This team focuses on optimization of capabilities to implement the IAM domain strategic goals and objectives. Additionally, the team is responsible for production deployment oversight and coordination for the IAM toolset, sponsorship of the access control design, and development.

In this role, you will:
- Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
- Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
- Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
- Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of experience leading and executing the design and development of innovative solutions and driving recommendations for changes to data systems, infrastructure, or processes
- 5+ years of experience with various software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
- 5+ years of experience working in development of identity and access management solutions specifically using tools like IBM Security Verify Governance, Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) or Sailpoint
- 5+ years of experience of software architecture and design patterns.
- 5+ years of experience with databases, cloud platforms, and other relevant technologies.
- 5+ years of programming skills in one or more languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++, JavaScript)
- Ability to identify complex technical issues
- Ability to work on call as assigned
- Ability to work onsite in the office in a hybrid model.
