Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Technology as part of API Enablement team under Chief Tech Technology Office ( CTO). As a Lead Software Engineer within CTO, you will take a lead role in supporting our Technology initiatives and drive the build and rollout of new applications, tools, platforms, and services within our cloud environments. You will be empowered to always take the initiative, propose ideas, and innovate to enable modernization and Cloud adoption.
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
- Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
- Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
- Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
- Collaborate effectively with product owner, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of experience with APIGEE, Kafka, MQ, Cloud, Unit Testing
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of Java, Python, OpenShift containers, and other relevant technologies
- 7+ years of experience with object-oriented design patterns and development
- 3+ years of experience with Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM
- 3+ years of experience with APIGEE platform
- 3+ years of experience with complex business system integrations
- 2+ Years of experience with GenAI, RAG and Agents.
- 3 + years of experience using tools like Jenkins/Harness, GitHub, and testing automation tools like selenium or Karate
- 3+ years of experience with core web technologies including HTML5, JavaScript and jQuery
- 3+ years of experience with relational databases, or data modelling
- 3+ years of experience with web services such as REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML
- Experience with message queues (e.g., MQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka).

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$111,100.00 - $237,100.00
