About this role:
Wells Fargo is currently seeking a Lead Risk Analytics Consultant/ Engineer to join the Model Risk Management (MRM) organization. This role is specifically aligned with the Model Computing and Governance Platform team, which is responsible for addressing all technology needs required to support MRM validation and governance activities. Additionally, the team provides technology solutions for Model Development Centers of Excellence.
The successful candidate will become part of a high-functioning, high-profile team. The position demands a professional presence and demeanor, enabling effective interactions with team members across MRM, Lines of Business (LOB), model governance, oversight, validation, and audit organizations. Strong documentation skills are essential for conveying complex processes clearly and efficiently.
In this role, you will:
  • Lead moderately complex initiatives, delivering critical insights and decision strategies to support platforms utilized by Model Risk Management and Model Development Teams
  • Oversee process production, ensuring accurate data reconciliation and comprehensive documentation to maintain operational integrity
  • Participate actively in incident triage and resolution across platform services, ensuring minimal disruption and prompt remediation of issues
  • Maintain observability tooling to guarantee visibility into system performance and reliability, proactively identifying areas for improvement
  • Work closely with infrastructure teams, such as Google Cloud Platform support, to resolve platform-level issues and enhance overall system stability
  • Conduct thorough diagnostics and contribute to root cause analysis for platform incidents, driving effective solutions and future prevention
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, experienced managers, compliance, and technology teams to address modeling and production issues, working collectively to achieve analytic and reporting objectives
  • Partner with cross-enterprise risk teams to develop common model risk management strategies, promoting organizational alignment and consistency
  • Design and implement enhancements for infrastructure solutions that support model validation and model development, ensuring robust and scalable platforms
  • Apply a solid understanding of risk reporting policies, modeling strategies, procedures, regulatory requests, and compliance requirements
  • Lead projects and teams, providing mentorship and guidance to less experienced staff to foster professional growth and development
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Compute, IAM, Storage, Network, Monitoring) and Red Hat OpenShift (Container, Orchestration, pods, operator, CI/CD Pipelines)
  • Experience supporting or integrating EPLX (or other enterprise platforms)
  • Familiarity with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools
  • Intermediate to advanced coding ability using Python, R, or other open-source programming languages as well as data processing using SQL, pandas, PySpark, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and manage complex issues and negotiate solutions within a geographically dispersed organization
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn business operations and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, identify opportunities, and implement change
  • Experience in developing partnerships and collaborating with diverse team members representing diverse functional areas
  • Good understanding of modeling concepts, familiarity with model implementation and production, and model governance
  • Experience with risk management concepts, audit, and controls
  • Understanding of key regulatory compliance risk components, including experience driving consistency and quality across all aspects of a risk function, including a solid understanding of process controls
  • Strong conceptual and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments with challenging timelines
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$119,000.00 - $206,000.00
