About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Python Developer in Technology as part of Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) to participate in analysis, design, and development of risk platform enhancements aligned to the data strategy and target state architecture. This role is responsible for analyzing/interpreting the Data Modernization strategy across impacted disciplines and developing and implementing best-of-class data solutions. Responsibility also includes partnering with Business and Technology in support of formalization of business requirements, translation of business requirements into detailed technical requirements, and participation in Agile-based workstreams via use of Jira.
 
In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives on selected domains

  • Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk

  • Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost

  • Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies

  • Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature

  • Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives

  • Mentor less experienced software engineers

  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers

  • Lead team to achieve objectives

  • Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 5+ years of overall experience in a developer capacity using other core languages such as Python, Java, C++, or C#  

  • 5+ years of experience in gathering user requirements, building solutions using Python in Test Driven Development (TDD)

  • 5+ years of experience designing distributing computing frameworks in Python 

  • 5+ years of experience in Relational DB (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 or others)   

  • 3+ years of experience with Microservice and Restful API development

  • 3+ years of working with DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Automation Deployment toolkits)    

  • 3+ years working in an Agile development environment         

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years with JavaScript development (REACT or Angular) 

  • 5+ years of experience in the capital markets domain, specifically in risk disciplines such as Market and Counterparty Credit Risk    

  • 3+ years of experience with NoSQL DB

  • 2+ years of experience in Cloud Computing (Azure, GCP and/or AWS)  

  • Knowledge and understanding of derivative products, risk management, and data modeling of financial products        

  • Knowledge and understanding of data management for reporting and quantitative analytics

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$120,400.00 - $287,600.00
