The Lead Product Manager – Sales Enablement will report to the Director- Product Management. You will play a critical role in building the digital infrastructure and consumer‑grade experiences that empower health plan members to understand, engage, and optimize their benefits. You will combine Application Program Interface (API) product leadership, interoperability standards, and member activation strategy. It ensures that data flows across systems to support experiences such as enrollment, onboarding, care navigation, incentives, and wellness programs.
You will own the strategy and roadmap for APIs and experiences that enable omnichannel agent experiences. These experiences include portals, CRM connectivity, member activation tools, and external partner channels. Your goal is to drive measurable increases in member engagement, NPS, retention, and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
API Product Ownership
- Define the end‑to‑end API product strategy that powers agent-facing products
- Have a working knowledge of RESTful and FHIR‑based APIs
- Establish clear API product requirements, business rules, technical acceptance criteria, and data contracts.
Member Activation & Engagement
- Lead initiatives that drive member activation, including digital onboarding journeys, personalized outreach, rewards programs, PCP selection workflows, cost transparency tools, and preventive care nudges.
- Partner with marketing, population health, and member experience teams to deliver connected engagement journeys across various touchpoints.
Interoperability & Compliance
- Ensure all APIs align with CMS Interoperability and Patient Access rules, FHIR R4+, and HIPAA security requirements.
- Collaborate with compliance, privacy, and security teams to ensure PHI handling and consent management meet federal and state regulations.
- Lead product work for CMS‑mandated APIs such as Prior Authorization API, Payer‑to‑Payer API, and Provider Access API (as applicable).
Cross‑Functional & Technical Leadership
- Work closely with engineering, architecture, data, and DevOps to deliver performance, scalable API services.
- Partner with cross functional product teams to ensure agent experiences are powered by consistent, reusable APIs.
- Influence enterprise API governance, standards, versioning, monitoring, and lifecycle policies.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Monitor API performance, enhancement (latency, reliability, error rates, adoption) and member activation KPIs (engagement, retention, conversion).
- Drive continuous optimization using data, user feedback, and experimentation (A/B tests, cohort analysis).
Leadership & Influence
- Mentor junior PMs working on API, digital, or agent engagement products.
- Communicate product vision clearly to executives, stakeholders, and partners.
- Champion consumer-centric thinking across the organization

Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of product management experience with API or platform product leadership.
- Working knowledge of healthcare insurance operations, including enrollment, vendor relationship, member activation initiatives.
- Track record driving engagement, activation, or digital health experience initiatives.
- Experience launching cross‑functional digital initiatives in an agile environment.
- Experience communicating complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences with the ability to translate between technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with payer systems such as Salesforce Health Cloud, or similar.
- Experience building or supporting FHIR, HL7, or CMS Interoperability APIs.
- Familiarity with API gateways such as Apigee, Mulesoft, Kong, or Azure API Management.
- Experience with personalization engines, engagement platforms, or vendor managed systems.
