About the Role
Attentive is seeking a Lead Product Manager to own the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and execution for Product Recommendations, a critical pillar in enabling personalized, high-performing messaging for thousands of e-commerce brands. Many of our clients have hundreds if not thousands of products they offer, our ability to identify specifically which products each shopper is most interested in is essential to our vision of creating a personalized shopping experience.

You will lead a broad surface area that includes our product catalog, product recommendation embedded in messages, product affinity targeting strategies, and the tools that make it easier for our customers to use product recommendations. This role is critical for advancing our mission of creating bespoke shopping experiences between customers and the brands they love.

What You’ll Accomplish

  • Lead the strategy and execution for how Attentive ingests, normalizes, and structures customers’ product catalog data to power intelligent recommendations and segmentation
  • Partner with Data Science to define the roadmap for algorithmic recommendation strategies within messages and across channels
  • Define targeting strategies that leverage customers’ affinity to products or categories for more personalized messaging
  • Own all UI/UX features that help customers understand, configure, and test recommendations
  • Craft and drive a multi-year strategy for recommendations
  • Translate ambiguous customer needs and competitive signals into clear, prioritized roadmaps
  • Partner closely with Data Science, Engineering, Design, and GTM to deliver high-impact features
  • Develop objective frameworks for measuring model performance, customer adoption, and trust
  • Operate with high autonomy, making crisp decisions and tradeoffs in the face of complexity
  • Serve as the internal evangelist for Product Recommendations across Attentive, enabling CS, Sales, and Marketing to confidently position our capabilities
  • Help customers understand why recommendations are effective and when they should be used
  • Support experiments, betas, and staged rollouts, ensuring measurement rigor and quality
  • Deeply understand the e-commerce ecosystem, especially product feeds, personalization engines, and customer lifecycle marketing

Your Expertise

  • 5–8+ years of Product Management experience, ideally with product recommendations
  • Experience shipping algorithm-driven and/or personalization products at scale
  • Strong product sense with the ability to simplify complexity into clear, actionable roadmaps
  • Fluency partnering with Data Science teams—comfortable setting goals, reviewing model outputs, and translating performance into roadmap decisions
  • Proven track record of driving adoption, crafting compelling narratives, and enabling GTM success
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with executive-ready clarity
  • Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and can drive decisions without perfect data
  • Experience in ecommerce, rec engines, identity/graph systems, or CDPs is a plus

For US based applicants:

  • The US base salary range for this full time position is $190,000 - $230,000 annually + equity + benefits
  • Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location
