At Humana, the Experience Transformation team is an experience-oriented, multi-disciplinary team that solves customer needs while enabling strategic and operational goals. Joining our dedicated group of Product Designers, Experience Strategists and User Experience Designers focused on consumer experience and supporting our suite of digital products, you would be responsible for working closely with senior Product Management and Engineering Leads to shape product and business strategies. You will drive prioritization, planning, and decision-making across multiple product teams, while creating exceptional user-centered experiences that achieve business goals and exceed user expectations. The team is focused on integrating and developing best practices in usability, analytics, accessibility, and cross-platform strategy in an Agile development environment.
The Lead Product Designer must adeptly guide interdisciplinary teams throughout the entire design process, from initial research and strategy to ideation, prototyping, testing, and final implementation. You will play a pivotal role within our web and mobile channels team, contributing to the experiences within our dashboard, navigation, and search, as well as playing a key role in our design system. The Design Lead need not excel in every aspect individually but ensure teams deliver high-quality outcomes through their guidance and oversight.
As a Lead Product Designer, you will:Take the lead in User Experience design, developing industry-leading, high-value mobile and web-based experiences to simplify the member plan experience for multiple lines of business.
Translate consumer insights into design strategies and execution that meet real user needs.
Serve as a primary point of contact with cross-functional partners in your workstream, ensuring alignment of UX deliverables.
Play a pivotal role in the progression of our design framework, contributing to the evolution of our design system and interaction patterns by defining, designing, and enhancing high-quality components and patterns for both web and mobile applications.
Build trust and consensus with key stakeholders and varying senior leaders by utilizing storytelling, user journeys, prototypes, and other UX strategies to articulate complex concepts, customer problems, and potential solutions.
Create strategic design deliverables such as strategy decks, visions of future experiences and evangelize these strategies across different teams and workstreams.
Develop and lead workshops aimed at discovering hypotheses, exploring potential solutions, building enthusiasm, establishing shared understanding, and promoting team alignment.
Ensure that digital principles, standards, styles, design patterns, and renderings are followed and represented correctly.
Partner with our Insights team to create long-term research strategies and facilitate ongoing discovery and iterative delivery.
Partner with Content Strategy to continuously drive and improve content, navigation, and site architecture.

Role Essentials
At least 7 years of experience as a Product Designer, User Experience Designer, or Interaction Designer
Must submit an online portfolio with your application that demonstrates the ability to create compelling mobile consumer user experiences
Expresses a passion for designing mobile applications with a portfolio of work that demonstrates expert knowledge and technical acumen
Mastery in Figma, with confidence in using its latest features and capabilities
Experience designing with business, technical, and design guideline constraints
Ability to adapt existing processes and deliverables when necessary to meet project needs and improve efficiency and quality
Demonstrated ability to design complex transactional user interfaces and interactions
Experience creating conceptual models, site maps, interaction flows, design patterns, and design specifications
Demonstrated experience in defining research hypotheses and testing criteria, leading or participating in user research, and translating user research into design decisions
Strong track record of iterating and delivering digital products within an agile team
Deep experience creating interactive prototypes
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant design discipline (e.g., Interaction Design, HCI, User Experience Design), certification from credible bootcamp or similar accelerated learning program, or equivalent work experience
Significant relevant work experience may substitute for an advanced degree
Self-starter who can make significant progress with minimal guidance
Experience creating inclusive and accessible designs, particularly for senior adults
Ability to be flexible in a fluid and dynamic environment
Must be extremely well-organized and capable of handling multiple (and sometimes conflicting) priorities effectively
