Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Information Security Engineer in Technology as part of Technology Infrastructure, Secure Access Technologies team supporting Wells Fargo's Remote Access VPN and Secure Connectivity solutions. In this role, you will:
  • Lead computer security incident response activities for highly complex events
  • Conduct technical investigation of security related incidents and post incident digital forensics to identify causes and recommend future mitigation strategies
  • Provide security consulting on large projects for internal clients to ensure conformity with corporate information, security policy, and standards
  • Design, document, test, maintain, and provide issue resolution recommendations for highly complex security solutions related to networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication and directory services, email, internet, applications, remote access, and endpoint security
  • Utilize subject matter knowledge in industry leading security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity
  • Identify security vulnerabilities and issues, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
  • Lead a team to achieve objectives
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of secure remote access technology support experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of information technology experience
  • 5+ years of experience in cryptography
  • 5+ years of digital certificate management experience
  • 3+ years of experience with all or some of the following practices: security requirements, threat modeling, statistical analysis and technology design
  • 2+ years of identity and access management (IAM) experience
  • Experience working with various identity providers (IDP) and technologies
  • Experience with endpoint security including posture awareness
  • Knowledge and experience in working with various information security tools and systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of secure SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies
  • Knowledge and understanding of Zero Trust Network Access concepts, systems, methodologies
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives
  • Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including those related to conflict resolution
  • Act as a team lead and oversee major team projects and initiatives
  • Oversee the development and implementation of new process and procedures supporting secure connectivity solutions
  • Contribute to defining and implementing secure remote access guidelines and procedures
  • Apply knowledge of information security and remote access technologies to drive organizational change
  • Contribute to governance, oversight, and design guidelines
  • Coach junior team members to understand and deliver based on the requirements of the program
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to work in office 3 days a week
  • Participate in the Engineering on-call rotation
  • Ability to work off hours and occasional weekends to support change activities
