What You Will Do
- Deeply understand players' needs and motivations to inform design decisions
- Work with project leads and other designers to create engaging moment to moment gameplay experiences
- Brainstorm, document, and work with a team of designers to bring these systems to life
- Collaborate with cross-discipline teams in the creation of features that leads to understandable, accessible, and compelling gameplay
- Produce and update game specs that contain the right level of detail while staying concise and easy to understand for the whole team
- Iterate using player and team feedback to optimize for fun, comprehension, and function
- Playtest the game, continuously pushing for improvements to existing designs
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working on combat and movement systems in games, focusing on fun, action gameplay for long-term play
- Experience working with large and complex gameplay systems that have many vectors of progression
- Ability to work well within an international and multicultural, dynamic, cross-discipline, and iterative team environment
- Self-motivated, positive, and collaborative, with an ability to receive and provide objective, useful feedback
- Understanding of designing and modeling for game features in a live game environment
Bonus Points
- Experience in MMO, Action RPG, or similar design
- Experience with social gameplay
- Experience with Unreal Engine
