JOB DESCRIPTION
Role Overview Green Dot Corporation is seeking a Lead Web Engineer to join the Consumer Engineering Team, focusing on building scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications that support our financial technology platforms. Key Responsibilities Architect and develop enterprise-grade web applications using modern frameworks and cloud-native technologies. Lead the design and implementation of modular, white-labeled, and localized web solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Mobile, and Backend Engineering to deliver seamless user experiences. Drive technical initiatives to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability of web platforms. Implement observability and monitoring solutions to ensure system reliability and user satisfaction. Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices across the web domain. Translate business requirements into technical solutions that align with compliance, security, and accessibility standards. Operate in an AI-driven SDLC environment, leveraging tools like GitHub Copilot and Azure DevOps. Qualifications 8+ years of web development experience, with 2+ years in a technical leadership role. Expert-level proficiency in React, Angular framework. Experience with Azure Cloud, including Azure Functions, Blob Storage, and Service Bus. Experience with Azure/AWS Cloud services Experience in containerizing web applications using technologies like Docker and AKS to ensure scalable, portable, and efficient deployment across environments. Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases like Cosmos DB. Strong understanding of accessibility standards such as WCAG and ARIA and be able to implement inclusive design practices to ensure web applications are usable by people of all abilities. Experience in implementing and managing Datadog dashboards, monitors, and alerts for web applications. Proficiency in RESTful API design, OAuth2, and microservices architecture. Experience with automated testing, unit testing, TDD, and CI/CD pipelines. Development Tools: VS Code, Postman, Azure DevOps, Git, Jira, Confluence, Figma. Strong grasp of web security, encryption standards, and privacy compliance. Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with AI-enhanced workflows. Strong Communication Skill Preferred Qualifications Experience in fintech or consumer-facing web platforms. Familiarity with operational domains such as payments, identity verification, and customer onboarding. Contributions to open-source web libraries or technical publications.POSITION TYPE
RegularPAY RANGE
The targeted base salary for this position is $139,900 to $199,300 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.<<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>>
