Lead Equities Post-Trade and Data Platform Engineer will support the Commercial Banking and Corporate & Investment Banking businesses as well as Payment Solutions, Capital Markets Services, Wholesale Digitization, and International Technology across the firm. This diverse portfolio of capabilities spans multiple technology disciplines and strategic innovations. About this role:
In this role, you will partner with the Equities Cash Technology and Prime Services Technology teams to advance the buildout of the Equities Data & Analytics Hub and develop the next-generation Post-Trade Straight-Through Processing platform supporting all Equities Cash trading and Prime Services functions.

$159,000.00 - $305,000.00

About this role:

In this role, you will:
- Lead complex initiatives on selected domains
- Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk
- Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost
- Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies
- Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature
- Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
- Mentor less experienced software engineers
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
- Lead team to achieve objectives
- Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively
- 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of Java development experience
- 2+ years of python experience
- 2+ years of Kafka and/or Solace experience, or comparable messaging platform experience
- Kafka Streaming subject matter experience
- Equities Data and Analytics experience
- Cash Equities and/or Listed Options Post Trade Processing
- Containerization/Kubernetes/OpenShift experience
- Data Pipeline buildout
- Experience in other database platforms (e.g., Time Series DBs like DeepHaven, kdb+, OneTick, etc., MongoDB, Hadoop, NoSQL, etc.) would be helpful
- Advanced experience in capital markets business and processes
- Experience developing multi-tiered, low latency, highly reliable, applications
- Experience in Core Java development with expert understanding of memory management, concurrency, native I/O.
- Cash Equities, Global Markets trading, and/or Prime Services - trade workflow and lifecycle knowledge, FIX experience (if no Equities, FX or FIC trading data experience would also help)
