About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a transformative Lead Data Engineer to develop the data enablement products for some of the Data Solutions products in Wealth Management Technology. This person will be responsible working to execute the roadmap of engineering teams with latest technologies, principles and deliver the data products aligned with the needs of the sourcing API platforms. In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives with broad impact and act as key participant in large scale software planning for the Technology area

  • Design, develop, and run tooling to discover problems in data and applications and report the issues to engineering and product leadership

  • Review and analyze complex software enhancement initiatives for business, operational or technical improvements that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors

  • Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted data engineering situations requiring understanding of software package options and programming language and compliance requirements that influence and lead Technology to meet deliverables and drive organizational change

  • Strategically collaborate and consult with internal partners to resolve highly risky data engineering challenges

  • Build and maintain optimized and highly available data pipelines that facilitate deeper analysis and reporting

  • Review and analyze moderately complex business, operational or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors

  • Oversee the data integration work, including developing a data model, maintaining a data warehouse and analytics environment, and writing scripts for data integration and analysis

  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead teams to meet data engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of data information policies, procedures and compliance requirements

  • Collaborate and consult with colleagues and managers to resolve data engineering issues and achieve strategic goals

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Database Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 5+ years of experience implementing, managing, or utilizing data environments (SQL Server, Oracle, Hadoop, etc.)

  • 3+ years of experience Python development

  • 4+ years of experience implementing Kafka based solutions

  • 5+ years of experience with ETL tools like CDC, Informatica, and building ETL pipelines

  • 2+ years’ experience in designing and building Data Quality frameworks

Desired Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience using standard BI tools (Tableau, Power BI etc.)

  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Udeploy, Liquibase, Harness

  • Experience using Debezium connectors

  • Experience using tools like Qualytics or Talend

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work additional hours as needed

  • Position offers a hybrid work schedule

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$96,600.00 - $171,800.00
