As a Lead Cybersecurity Architect - AWS Cloud at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector - Cybersecurity and Tech Controls - GT Enterprise Product Security team, you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality cybersecurity solutions for various software applications on modern cloud-based technologies. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for carrying out critical cybersecurity architecture solutions by identifying, creating, and communicating risk, mitigation options, and solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of project goals.
Job responsibilities

  • Engages and maintains effective communication with technical teams, senior business leaders and stakeholders to discuss and propose technical approaches to meet current and future cybersecurity needs
  • Defines the technical target state of their cybersecurity product and drives achievement of the strategy
  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall cybersecurity of software applications and systems
  • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive continuous improvement and assess cybersecurity design and technical credentials for use in existing systems and architecture
  • Leads communities of practice to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge cybersecurity technologies
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering enterprise-level cybersecurity solutions and controls
  • Advanced knowledge of one or more software applications and programming languages (e.g., Python, Shell Scripting, Automation Tools, Terraform, etc.)
  • Experience developing security engineering solutions, along with design and implementation of cloud security solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP for best technical practices
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as continuous integration and delivery, application resiliency, and security
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., public cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
  • Practical cloud native experience
  • Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong exposure to cloud technologies
  • Attains and has proficient skills in at least one or more of the following certifications:
    • AWS Solutions Architect
    • AWS Security
    • CISSP / CCSP
    • Hashicorp Terraform Associate
    • Any Azure / GCP Architect or Security Certification

About the Team
The Cybersecurity & Technology Controls group at JPMorganChase aligns the firm's cybersecurity, access management, controls and resiliency teams. The group proactively and strategically partners with all lines of business and functions to enable them to design, adopt and integrate appropriate controls; deliver processes and solutions efficiently and consistently; and drive automation of controls. The group's number one priority is to enable the business by keeping the firm safe, stable and resilient.
High Risk Roles (HRR) are sensitive roles within the technology organization that require high assurance of the integrity of staff by virtue of 1) sensitive cybersecurity and technology functions they perform within systems or 2) information they receive regarding sensitive cybersecurity or technology matters. Users in these roles are subject to enhanced pre-hire screening which includes both criminal and credit background checks (as allowed by law). The enhanced screening will need to be successfully completed prior to commencing employment or assignment.
