About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Compensation Consultant within the Compensation Design & Engagement team of our Total Rewards function within Human Resources. This position will play a critical role across HR, Communications, and Business Leadership to develop and execute engagement strategies that elevates the employee experience and promotes excellence in execution of our compensation programs.
In this role, you will:
  • Drive the development and execution of compensation initiatives that are aligned with risk, legal, technology infrastructure, HR, and other partners across the enterprise to ensure successful socialization, engagement and implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver people-centric compensation programs and services.
  • Provide strategic direction and subject matter expertise for large-scale, cross-organizational business solutions spanning multiple countries.
  • Champion change management and engagement strategies within the Total Rewards organization.
  • Navigate complex business scenarios with sound decision-making, issue resolution, and implementation support.
  • Drive accountability, mitigate risk, and drive process efficiencies across initiatives.
  • Measure, analyze and build sustainable processes to support engagement and compensation program effectiveness
  • Conduct and leverage data analytics to evaluate compensation trends, identify insights, and inform enterprise-wide program strategies and decision-making.
  • Create and deliver compelling executive-level presentations, communications, and change management materials that integrate data and align with brand standards.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Compensation experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Compensation or other Human Resources function experience
  • Skilled in crafting and delivering end-to-end engagement strategies that elevate employee and/ or manager experience and drive adoption of compensation programs across diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated expertise in compensation design, with a strong track record of leading project-based initiatives that require both strategic alignment and innovative thinking.
  • Proven ability to conceptualize and execute forward-looking compensation frameworks that challenge conventional models and deliver impactful, tailored solutions
  • Experience working in a large, complex, dynamic organization with multiple business groups and broad geographic reach
  • Demonstrated success in influencing, collaboration, problem-solving and decision-making skills across all levels of various stakeholder teams, which can include business leaders and HR Partners, to ensure alignment and drive adoption toward a common compensation solution
  • Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration across the enterprise to ensure consistent messaging and compliance
  • Experience mentoring peers and guiding teams through multi-phase compensation design projects, including regional rollouts and transformation initiatives.
  • Proven success working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities while managing tactical and strategic deliverables to meet timelines
  • Ability to conduct data analysis to provide data insights and solutions
  • Ability to prioritize, manage, track and monitor multiple complex projects, communicate progress to business leaders and negotiate critical issue resolution
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a track record of developing toolkits, presentations, and digital content for manager enablement
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications; specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
