In this role, you will:
- Build, grow, and expand complex client relationships through disciplined relationship management, including a deep understanding of client needs and priorities, proactive and strategic communication, effective expectation management, and continuous feedback engagement.
- Support business development efforts by partnering with Business Development Representatives to source new Commercial Banking clients and cultivate opportunities through established professional and community networks.
- Lead the structuring, modification, and renewal of complex credit solutions, including cash-flow and real estate facilities and select industry-specific products, by analyzing financial performance, presenting recommendations to clients, coordinating internal partners, and collaborating with senior peers to execute more sophisticated transactions.
- Deliver comprehensive, client-specific solutions by leveraging Wells Fargo's full suite of commercial banking products and services. Engage product partners to design integrated solutions based on a deep understanding of clients' business models, strategic objectives, operating priorities, and financial positions.
- Exercise sound judgment in complex, multi-dimensional situations, applying strong knowledge of credit policy, risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirements to meet deliverables and support new initiatives within the Commercial Banking Relationship Management group.
- Collaborate strategically with peers, colleagues, and senior leaders to resolve client issues and advance business objectives. Guide clients through Wells Fargo processes, escalate issues appropriately, identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced risk controls, and serve as a mentor to less experienced relationship managers.
- Drive disciplined relationship planning and pipeline management, ensuring accurate and timely updates in relevant systems to support sales execution and delivery of the full Wells Fargo platform.
- Partner with Commercial Lending Product Management to provide market and client insights, informing leadership on evolving needs and contributing to the innovation, design, and delivery of effective credit solutions.
- 5+ years of Commercial Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of core banking products and services, such as commercial lending and treasury management
- Completion of formal credit training program
- Established local network and comprehensive knowledge of the St. Louis market and surrounding areas
- Proven commercial banking account relationship management experience for clients with annual revenue of $25MM to $100MM
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively to deliver the organization to clients and prospects
- Demonstrated experience generating new client relationships, building and retaining long-term client relationships
- Experience identifying and mitigating risk, ensuring compliance with processes and procedures
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
