About the role

We are looking for a Lead Brand Designer to work directly with our Creative Director as one of the core hands-on makers on the Marketing team. This is a foundational, high-impact individual contributor role for someone who can take conceptual direction, sharpen it, and carry it all the way through to exceptional execution.

You will help establish and evolve the Securitize brand across campaigns, events, social, editorial, presentations, partnerships, launches, and digital experiences. Because the team is intentionally lean, you will have real influence over both the work and the systems behind it: what we make, how we make it, and the quality bar we hold.

This is first and foremost a brand design role. You will also partner closely with our website marketing manager, product design, and other digital partners to create a coherent experience across brand, web, and product. You will not be expected to own core product UX, but you should be comfortable shaping how the brand comes to life in digital products and collaborating with specialists.

What you will do

  • Build and evolve the brand. Translate brand strategy and creative direction into a distinctive, flexible visual system that can grow with the business.
  • Set the creative bar. Develop concepts and execute high-visibility work across integrated campaigns, events, launches, social, editorial, partnerships, presentations, and executive communications.
  • Create systems, not just assets. Build practical guidelines, Figma libraries, templates, and toolkits that make the brand easier to use without flattening the work into a formula.
  • Connect brand, web, and product. Design and prototype brand-led digital experiences, working with web, product design, product, and engineering partners to carry the trust, clarity, and distinctiveness of the brand into the platform.
  • Lead through influence. Present work clearly, explain the thinking behind it, navigate feedback, and build alignment with partners and senior stakeholders.
  • Direct and elevate external partners. Brief and art direct agencies, freelancers, illustrators, photographers, motion designers, and production partners when the work calls for it.
  • Own work from ambiguity to delivery. Frame the problem, identify what is missing, explore the right range of ideas, and carry the strongest direction through final production.
  • Improve how the team works. Help prioritize requests, scope projects, identify repeatable needs, and build a more deliberate and effective creative practice.

What we are looking for

  • 8+ years of experience in brand, visual, or graphic design, with meaningful ownership of work at a senior level.
  • A portfolio that shows exceptional craft and strong ideas across identity systems and real-world applications - not just isolated campaign assets.
  • Excellent typography, layout, composition, and visual storytelling skills, with the judgment to make complex information feel clear and compelling.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, including components, auto layout, libraries, and prototyping, plus strong command of Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Demonstrated experience building or evolving a brand system and applying it across multiple channels, formats, and audiences.
  • Strong conceptual thinking: you can generate distinctive directions, connect creative choices to a larger idea, and distinguish between work that is merely polished and work that is truly good.
  • Digital fluency, including responsive design, accessibility fundamentals, and the practical realities of designing work that will be built.
  • The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, communicate directly, and make progress without a perfectly defined brief or constant oversight.
  • Comfort working with complex, technical, or regulated subject matter and turning it into experiences people can understand.

Nice to have

  • Experience designing for fintech, financial services, blockchain, digital assets, or another high-trust category.
  • Meaningful web, digital experience, or product design experience, even if it has not been the center of your role.
  • Experience with motion, 3D, illustration, photography, data visualization, or other disciplines that can expand a brand system.
  • Experience designing event identities, environmental graphics, or high-impact physical brand moments.
  • Experience working both in-house and at an agency, mentoring other designers, or providing creative direction without formal people-management authority.

What success looks like

  • Securitize has a clearer, more distinctive, and more consistently expressed brand across its highest-visibility touchpoints.
  • The team has a practical visual system and reusable foundations that improve both quality and speed.
  • Flagship campaigns, events, launches, and digital experiences establish a noticeably higher creative bar.
  • Brand, web, and product experiences feel more connected, even when different teams deliver them.
  • You are a trusted senior creative partner who can take an ambiguous challenge, make the work better, and move it forward.

The kind of person who will thrive here

You are hands-on, curious, and comfortable moving between the big idea and the last five percent of craft. You care deeply about the work without becoming precious about your first answer. You know when a problem needs exploration, a system, or simply needs to ship. Most importantly, you do not wait for perfect conditions to make meaningful progress.

If this sounds like you, we would like to hear from you - even if your background does not match every line above.
