GENERAL SCOPE

The Key Account Manager manages an assigned account, or group of accounts, with the primary responsibility to create value for the assigned customers; and
to identify new product opportunities and selling to existing customers. A Sales Professional’s sole focus is to maintain corporate relationship, deliver contractual commitments & grow current volume, price capture and to improve gross profit. A Sales Professional is expected to work on attaining new business and achieve/exceed annual operating plan & profitability targets.

KNOWLEDGE

Solid knowledge of the Foodservice & Hospitality industry market trends. Experience with distribution, end users and proven track record of managing corporate relationships. Well organized and demonstrated strengths in project and time management. Financial acumen, P & L management, some legal contract negotiation skillset.

JOB COMPLEXITY

Independently performs non-routine and moderately complex assignments.  Researches assignments, processes, and analyzes data and may develop recommendations.  Competently uses computers and other systems to access, maintain, and manipulate data. May provide leadership, direction to lower-level employees.  Has ability to understand technical component of field equipment and service level agreement component. May determine methods, standard operations procedures, sequences; develops and/or participates in request for proposals (RFP's), service level agreements and training requirements.

IMPACT

Impact may affect work of others and potentially, if not caught, at section level. Contributes to and supports the completion of major organization activity. Erroneous work would have negative impact.

QUALIFICATIONS

University degree is preferred. Experience in lieu of degree may be acceptable. High school diploma or equivalent is a minimum requirement.
