The intern will join a team to develop, maintain, sustain, deploy, and provide database administration for an executable transitioning into a standalone web interface to track supply chain weaknesses for emerging technologies within the government. The chosen candidate will also be responsible for scheduled updates to the customer and be able to work project leads and software developers to support the enhancement of the industrial base.
Responsibilities:

Ensure the readiness and availability of databases necessary for production. This includes database patches to ensure systems are kept in-accordance-with Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert software and firmware upgrades and patches and includes heavy scripting and database administration support.

Perform database software/hardware upgrades and installations for multiple databases used in production
Required Skills:

Candidate should be working towards obtaining a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field

An understanding of web application development processes to include frontend and backend development and deployment

US citizenship with the ability to obtain a clearance
Desired Experience:

Experience in agile software development methodologies

Experience with web-based technologies (ex. Python) and programming languages

Experience with Gitlab or other version control software

Experience with relational (Oracle, MySQL) databases

Experience with Apache NiFi, Apache Kafka, Elastisearch, and containers.

Experience with JIRA or Mantis bug/issue tracking software

Experience with RedHat, CentOS, and Windows operating systems

Database security experience, management and maintenance

Docker experience

Web framework experience with Django
