At TigerData, formerly Timescale, we empower developers and businesses with the fastest PostgreSQL platform designed for transactional, analytical, and agentic workloads. Trusted globally by thousands of organizations, TigerData accelerates real-time insights, drives intelligent applications, and powers critical infrastructure at scale. As a globally distributed, remote-first team committed to direct communication, accountability, and collaborative excellence, we're shaping the future of data infrastructure, built for speed, flexibility, and simplicity.

You’ll be the voice that makes our complex tech accessible.
For the next six months, you’ll partner with our engineering and product teams to refine documentation, tutorials, and release notes that make our PostgreSQL-powered platform crystal clear to developers and customers alike. You’ll be joining a team that’s serious about accuracy and speed — and you’ll have the freedom to experiment with AI tools to work smarter and ship better docs faster.

📍 Location: Fully remote. English fluency is required. Time zone overlap with EST is preferred — please confirm whether this is a requirement or just a preference.

What you will be responsible for in this role
  • Update, edit, and publish technical documentation including API references, product guides, and how-to articles.

  • Translate complex engineering concepts into clear, concise, and accurate instructions for technical and semi-technical audiences.

  • Partner with product managers, engineers, and support teams to gather and validate information.

  • Heavily using AI tools (e.g.,Claude, or similar) to draft, edit, and improve technical content while ensuring accuracy.

  • Organize and maintain content in our documentation systems for easy navigation and discoverability.

  • Update documentation in sync with product changes and release cycles.

You could be a great fit if you…
  • Have some prior writing experience — technical blog posts, documentation, or coursework — and a knack for explaining complex ideas.

  • Understand basic technical concepts like APIs, databases, and command-line tools (you don’t need to be a developer, but you need to be tech-curious).

  • Have excellent grammar, clarity, and editing skills.

  • Can quickly learn and adapt to new tools, including AI-assisted writing workflows.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment with shifting priorities.

You might not be a great fit if you…
  • Prefer highly structured work over independent problem-solving.

  • Are uncomfortable learning new technical concepts or tools on the fly.

  • Avoid using AI tools for research, drafting, or editing.

  • Need constant direction rather than being able to self-start.

Our Commitment:
  • We respond to every applicant.

  • We review applications fairly and objectively, and shortlist based on relevant skills and experience.

  • We ensure clear and timely communication throughout your candidate journey.

  • We maintain a rigorous interview process with a high bar, designed to give you the opportunity to meet various team members you'll collaborate with across our organization.
