OVERVIEW
The Localization Project Manager works alongside our localization teams for end-to-end for product launches, marketing campaigns, CRM, e-mails, and web content, oversee localization and QA workflow, and make sure everything is delivered on time and with high quality, including managing project queries.
This is initially a 1 year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension.
Main Duties
- Manage localization projects end-to-end for product launches, marketing campaigns, CRM, e-mails, and web content, oversee localization and QA workflow, and make sure everything is delivered on time and with high quality.
- Work closely with external language vendors to ensure SLA performance and monitor translation quality.
- Create, track, adhere to, and report on project budgets.
- Maintain complex localization schedules and effectively manage concurrent deadline-driven tasks.
- Adhere to established localization standards, systems, and best practices.
- Drive issue resolution and address contingencies promptly.
- Contribute to the continued improvement and streamlining of our workflows.
- Take part in meetings with the localization team and occasionally work with cross-functional teams of designers, product owners, internal reviewers, engineers, marketers, and others across the company. You will facilitate communication of localization requirements, share insights, resolve any issues and ensure that we operate in line with Welocalize's localization team overall strategy.
- Test possible tools and technologies to enable the team’s strategic goals.
- Work closely with the team members and stakeholders across various locations and time zones to drive projects to successful completion.
- Maintain clear and consistent program status reporting for team members and stakeholders.
Requirements
- 3-4 years experience in project management, preferably in multi-language programs in a role with multiple components and stakeholders.
- Experience using Jira is a must.
- Experience with Smartling would be a plus.
- Experience with localization QA would be a plus
- Experience working with remote team members.
- Excellent track record in delivering global products and understanding of localization challenges.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of more languages will be a plus.
- Experience in language quality management
