Join a Game-Changing Mission in Integrated Airspace Operations

Leidos’ National Security Sector is looking for a visionary Joint Airspace Control Integration Specialist to help propel Air Combat Command’s Personnel Recovery Joint Integration Division (A3J) into the future. In this dynamic role, you'll be the linchpin in advancing integrated operations across the Theater Air Control System (TACS). This means orchestrating the seamless synchronization of airspace control, management, and design across Joint and coalition operations. You'll serve as the essential liaison for tactical command and integrated airspace innovation within a broader Military Intelligence Program that supports multi-echelon command structures.

What You'll Do

Step into a role where your expertise transforms operational routines into pioneering best practices. As a key innovator, you will:

  • Revamp and Refine: Evaluate existing doctrines, concepts of operations (CONOPS), and tactical procedures. Your mission is to propose enhancements that revolutionize operational workflows, training programs, and technological support—improving integration between the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army, while seamlessly coordinating with Joint Force and coalition allies.
  • Lead Cutting-Edge Initiatives: Advise on the development of Joint Air Ground Integration Cell (JAGIC) tactics, techniques, and procedures to optimize coordination at the tactical edge. Your insights will be vital in steering modernization efforts for the Air Support Operations Center (ASOC) within the evolving TACS framework.
  • Transform Lessons into Action: Analyze real-world air-ground operational experiences to inform continuous improvements in TACS architecture and employment strategies. You'll harness emerging and fielded technologies, assessing their potential to elevate tactical command and control (C2).
  • Drive Cross-Domain Collaboration: Act as the bridge between Air Force and Army tactical units, ensuring effective communication and coordination within the TACS structure. Your expertise will be crucial in integrating Joint C2 and Mission Command systems, enhancing decision-making speed and overall operational readiness.
  • Execute Strategic Analyses: Perform comprehensive capability gap assessments that shape Joint requirements, modernization priorities, and acquisition strategies. Your work will not only support coalition and multinational partners but also drive the evolution of airspace control processes based on lessons learned from exercises and deployments.
  • Mentor and Communicate: Oversee team performance by mentoring team members, ensuring compliance with time-charging and training requirements, and serving as the liaison between on-site and remote personnel. You will provide weekly status reports and actively participate in both unclassified and classified meetings, sharing your expert insights with senior leaders.

Telecommuting options are available depending on geographic location, offering a flexible work environment without compromising mission-critical coordination.

Basic Qualifications

  • Seasoned Professional: You bring at least 12 years of relevant experience in U.S. Air Force, Army, or Marine Corps combat arms specialties, coupled with over 10 years in tactical C2 operations.
  • Security-Minded Leader: An active TOP SECRET SCI security clearance is a must.
  • Academic Credentials: A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Analytical Expert: You excel at crafting detailed, data-driven reports that identify trends and support high-stakes decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Military Education: Graduation from an intermediate or senior-level professional military education program is highly desirable.
  • Specialized Training: Certifications in Airspace Control, Tactical Air Control Party (TACP), Control and Reporting Center (CRC), Battle Control Center (BCC), or Joint Air Ground Integration Cell (JAGIC) will give you an edge.
  • Operational Savvy: A deep familiarity with operational-level planning, C2 systems (like TBMCS, TAIS, AFATDS), and fire support coordination tools is highly valued.

If you're passionate about transforming tactical challenges into innovative solutions and eager to be at the forefront of integrated airspace operations, this is your chance to make a significant impact. Imagine merging your operational expertise with cutting-edge technology, all while driving multi-domain collaboration that sets new standards in military intelligence and command effectiveness.

What strategic innovations will you pioneer in this transformative role? Let's explore the future of airspace control together.
