The team
Hitachi Digital Services Japan, which is the HDS’s Japan country office, is strengthening its offshore engineering services leveraging development centers in Vietnam and India, building a global delivery structure that combines high quality and cost competitiveness.
The role
The Japanese Speaking Technical Lead will work at the client's office in Japan (Yokohama) for over 1 year, can manage small team with + 5 members. Main responsibilities including the followings:
- Communicating effectively in Japanese on technical matters, including writing clear technical documentation and inquiry responses.
- Leading maintenance and enhancement work, such as issue analysis and OSS version upgrades, to build strong product knowledge.
- Responding to inquiries to clarify system specifications and understand related business processes.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology or related technical discipline.
- Japanese language proficiency equivalent to JLPT N2 or higher is required.
- At least 7 years of experience in Full-Stack development and technical leadership.
- Experience with Java enterprise web applications using Spring Framework (Struts2 is a plus).
- Knowledge of JavaScript (ES2015+) and jQuery for server-rendered web UI.
- Experience deploying applications on Tomcat with Nginx as reverse proxy.
- Familiarity with Maven for Java project build and dependency management.
- Basic experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, ELB, S3, SQS).
- Experience using API / performance testing tools (SoapUI, JMeter).
- Ability to investigate production issues, with awareness of security vulnerabilities and EOL risks.
