Position Overview:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor computer/process related equipment.
- Maintain computer networking, including hardware and software assembly.
- Oversee operating systems, install and or remove software as necessary.
- Train users in the basic operation of pc hardware and software and related office components (i.e. printers, copiers, facsimiles, etc.).
- Monitor assigned system component on a 24 hour/7 day basis. Responds to system malfunctions and takes indicated corrective action during/after normal business hours.
- Research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software, both independently and at the request of the IT Manager.
- Follows procedures to ensure system and equipment security and to protect file integrity.
- Install, configure and support the company (LAN/WAN) and internet system, monitor network including internal and external security measures, monitor assigned system components 24 hours/7 days per week, and respond to system issues.
- Ensure a safe working environment by observing safe work practices and by following all safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Associates Degree in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Special Knowledge & Skills
- Must know client operating systems (Windows XP / 7)
- Basic networking skills, A++ certification a plus
- Excellent communication and able to follow direction
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
