Dave is focused on serving Americans who are financially vulnerable or living paycheck to paycheck. Dave is leading the charge in creating a new era of credit products that prioritizes speed, affordability, and accessibility, making it the go-to financial partner for those who need it most.

We’re hiring an IT Systems Engineer II, Enterprise AI & Automations to help us scale how work gets done through automation and applied AI at Dave. This role sits at the intersection of IT, systems, and applied AI. Focused on reducing manual work and improving how information flows across the company.

The Opportunity

You’ll help build and scale the systems that make our internal tools more connected and efficient. This includes automating repetitive workflows, supporting AI-powered tools across teams, and improving how systems integrate with each other.

You’ll partner closely with more senior engineers and cross-functional teams to turn ideas into practical solutions. Not everything is fully defined, and you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to how automation and AI evolve across the company.

What You’ll Build & Own
  • Build and maintain automated workflows that reduce manual IT and operational work

  • Support integrations between core systems to improve data flow and reliability

  • Help operationalize AI tools (e.g., copilots, internal agents) by connecting them to real workflows

  • Identify opportunities for automation within existing processes and contribute to solution design and implementation

  • Support identity, access, and provisioning workflows through automation and system improvements

  • Contribute to documentation, playbooks, and reusable solutions that help teams adopt automation more effectively

  • Ensure automations are built with appropriate governance, monitoring, and error handling to support reliability at scale

  • Help structure and expose system data in ways that make it usable for automation and AI-driven workflows

The Impact

Your work will reduce manual effort, improve system reliability, and enable teams at Dave to move faster through better-connected tools and workflows.

What We’re Looking ForExperience & Technical Foundation
  • 2–5 years of experience in IT systems, automation, or a related technical role

  • Experience building or maintaining automations and integrations across SaaS tools

  • Familiarity with automation platforms (e.g., Zapier, Workato, n8n) or scripting-based workflows

  • Working knowledge of scripting or programming (e.g., Python, JavaScript)

  • Experience supporting core systems such as identity providers, collaboration tools, or device management

  • Understanding of APIs and basic authentication methods (OAuth, SAML)

Bonus
  • Exposure to AI tools or interest in building AI-powered workflows

  • Experience working with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Okta, Jira, or similar platforms

  • Familiarity with event-driven workflows or orchestration tools

What Makes Someone Successful Here

You take ownership of your work and follow through on solutions that improve how things operate. You’re thoughtful about how systems connect and look for ways to make processes more efficient and reliable over time.

You collaborate well with others and are comfortable asking questions to understand the bigger picture. You’re open to feedback and use it to improve your work. When priorities shift, you adapt and continue making progress without losing focus.

You think in terms of systems and scale, not just one-off fixes, and aim to build solutions that can be reused across teams.

What to Expect

This is a hands-on role with opportunities to grow your scope over time. You’ll work across teams, contributing to both immediate improvements and longer-term automation efforts. As we expand our use of AI, you’ll have the chance to learn and apply new tools in real-world scenarios.

Why Join Dave
  • Work on systems that improve how teams operate across the company

  • Gain hands-on experience with automation and AI in a practical setting

  • Collaborate with a team focused on building scalable, thoughtful solutions

  • Grow your scope as the company continues to evolve
