SMB Team is seeking an IT Support Specialist to bring internal technology support, device lifecycle management, and provisioning/deprovisioning in house while adding light technical project and cost-optimization capacity to the team.

The salary for this role is $50,000 - $60,000 annually based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

    • 1. Internal Team Technical Support
      • Serve as the first point of contact for all employee technology tickets (hardware, software, account access, etc…)
      • Troubleshoot and resolve routine issues independently & escalate complex issues where needed
      • Maintain a running internal knowledge base of common issues and fixes
      • 2. Device Lifecycle & New-Hire Onboarding
        • Order and track company devices and maintain an inventory log
        • Coordinate new-hire hardware delivery and run day-one onboarding sessions for software installation and access
        • Install and administer remote monitoring/support software on all company devices.
      • 3. Provisioning & Deprovisioning
        • Provision new employees according to their specific role
        • Fully and promptly deprovision departing employees’ accounts, licenses, and device access
      • 4. Software & License Cost Optimization
        • Maintain audit cadence for license usage across the tech stack to flag unused seats, duplicate tools, or over provisioned licenses
        • Recommend consolidations and cost savings
      • 5. Technical Project & Admin Support
        • Assist the technology team with system upgrades, rollouts, and projects as needed
        • Maintain technology documentation and internal support resources
        • Research and suggest solutions for organizational technology needs

Requirements
    • Technical degree or certifications required
    • 0-2 years job experience in a technical role
    • Ability to quickly learn technical platforms; how they function and how end users must interact with them for best performance
    • Exceptional creative problem solving skills; ability to diagnose,  research, and troubleshoot new challenges independently
    • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) & ability to collaborate with team members with varying technical fluency
    • Experience with our tech stack strongly preferred
