RESPONSIBILITIES

IT Sourcing & Procurement

  • Obtain competitive bids and quotes for IT hardware, software, support services, cloud subscriptions, and infrastructure needs based on specifications provided by IT stakeholders.
  • Process purchase requisitions in alignment with Departmental Purchasing Policies and IT procurement guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities to consolidate IT spend (e.g., licensing agreements, support contracts, hardware standardization) to reduce total cost of ownership.
  • Maintain and manage IT vendor relationships, including OEMs, VARs, software publishers, managed service providers, and telecom partners.

Contract, Policy & Compliance Management

  • Ensure all IT purchasing activity complies with company policies, cybersecurity requirements, budget approvals, and legal/contractual standards.
  • Support lifecycle management of IT contracts, including renewals, terminations, SLAs, and change requests.

Vendor & Service Performance

  • Assist in evaluating vendor performance, delivery metrics, service obligations, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure deliveries, installations, and service execution meet or exceed expectations.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends in IT spending. 
  • Provide reporting and insights to IT leadership on cost-saving opportunities, contract timelines, and optimization strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four‑year college. 
  • 2-4 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, procurement, IT asset management, or related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of IT categories (e.g., hardware, software licensing, SaaS, networking, cybersecurity tools) preferred.
  • Highly organized and detail‑oriented; able to manage multiple requests in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret complex data accurately.
  • Proficient in comparing quotes, estimating total cost of ownership, and interpreting technical scope documents.
  • Ability to apply basic financial and mathematical concepts, including discounts, percentages, and cost modeling.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with IT, Finance, Security, and external vendors.
