Citizenship: US Citizen (MUST)
Security Clearance: Must be eligible to possess MBI (IRS Background Investigation) clearance. Active MBI clearance is preferred.
Role Overview:
This position leads multidisciplinary teams in the management, systems analysis, and systems integration of large-scale or mission-critical IT environments. Responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle—from initial conception through deployment and closure.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience:
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in IT project management, systems analysis, and systems integration in large-scale or mission-critical environments.
- At least 5 years in a lead or supervisory capacity, managing multidisciplinary teams and overseeing the full lifecycle of complex IT initiatives.
- Education:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Certifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification required or equivalent.
- ITIL, Agile (Scrum Master/SAFe), or DAWIA Level III PM certifications are highly desirable.
- Other Skills:
- Strong team leadership, communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with government IT/cybersecurity projects preferred.
General Skills and Additional Requirements:
- Positive learning attitude and teamwork.
- Strong management of multiple concurrent tasks under tight timelines.
- Advanced communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work with job aids and use standard document templates.
- Knowledge of or experience with IRS IT infrastructure, FISMA, NIST, OMB, RMF, ISCM Plan development, and other federal security controls is highly desirable.
- Project management experience is also highly valued, especially for those expected to monitor multiple tasks lasting up to 4–6 months.
- Familiarity with tools such as Qmulos Q-Compliance, SharePoint, scanning tools, ServiceNow GRC, and SPLUNK is advantageous.
