We are seeking an IT Network Engineer to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of Waltham, MA.
Job Summary
The IT Engineer is responsible for participating in the deployment and support of the network and security infrastructure. This position is will be a technical implementer for certain aspects of our IT technology. This role will partner with the broader team to evaluate current infrastructure and designing technology opportunities that will enable a customer to be successful. The ideal candidate will have experience with network related technologies and toolsets, such as LAN/WAN, L2 and L3 switch technologies, public and private cloud infrastructure, wireless solutions, SDWAN, VPN and firewalls. This individual contributor with proven breadth and depth of technical expertise, who participates in maintaining complex technology systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supports day to day network operations and maintenance.
  • Implement network related technologies such as switches, routers, firewalls, SDWAN, and VPN.
  • Participate on project teams including the management and maintenance of complex environments.
  • Contributor in the evaluation and review of business technologies including suite of tools both in the cloud and on premise.
  • Document concepts in technical or operational documents.
  • Tier 1 & 2 level of escalation point from Service Desk.
  • Solid resource for all of our offices and off-shore development teams as well as providing mid-level support to our software development teams.
  • Job requires evening and weekend work. Some travel to be expected. Includes participation in an on-call rotation.
  • Other duties as assigned and required.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 4 years of relevant technical experience.
  • Solid knowledge of LAN/WAN concepts (e.g., VLAN, DHCP, OSPF, BGP), CLI/GUI device management, and SD-WAN (Silver Peak a plus).
  • Experience with infrastructure deployment and security in Azure and AWS, NAC solutions (e.g., Aruba ClearPass), and Checkpoint firewalls; some exposure to cloud-based security technologies.
  • Familiarity with network cloud management platforms like Arista Cloud Vision and Aruba Central.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with some experience in technical documentation and lifecycle management.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; team-oriented with a service-driven mindset.

This position offers a total compensation range of $116,800.00 - $126,800.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata's benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata's compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
