LabCorp is recruiting an IT Manager for a dynamic team in Burlington, NC. 

The position scope includes processes necessary for the effective license management, compliance, and cost optimization of the End User Computing Software assets within the company. The IT Asset Software Manager will serve as a steward of asset data to other IT and business groups. This includes the ability to be able to interpret complex licensing agreements of various types and translate the terms and conditions to technical data requirements. Position partners with other IT and business department leads to reconcile measured software deployments to entitlements and ensure all license management requirements are met and followed by IT software assets.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Directs and provides oversight of the IT Asset Lifecycle for End User Computing Software with primary responsibilities related to license acquisition, deployment, monitoring, and compliance.
  • Supports the implementation of audit readiness processes
  • Responsible for monitoring and compliance with software licensing terms and conditions
  • Defines and responsible for ITAM tools and processes that are used to track and monitor compliance related to software asset deployment, usage, and license compliance.
  • Directs and manages IT asset management professionals responsible with responsibilities focused on software asset license management, compliance, and SAM tools.
  • Responsible for definition of delivery of software asset analytics and reporting tools.
  • Serves as a software licensing advisor - identifying risks, potential savings opportunities, and risk management.
  • Maintains proper implementation of ITAM policies, processes, and procedures for effective software lifecycle management
  • Provide software licensing and compliance education to various IT and business groups.

Minimum Experience Required:

  • Demonstrated history of effective leadership, relationship management, and effective communication skills.
  • 4+ years of experience in Software Asset Management.  
  • Proven professional history within software license management and administration
  • Ability to interpret licensing terms and conditions to support compliance and communicate terms to business departments. 
  • Ability to understand a company's effective licensing position
  • Applied knowledge of SAM tools such as Flexera One or ServiceNow.
  • Ability to use data analysis tools and techniques on large data sets to generate information related to software usage, license compliance, and cost management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or 5-7 years of experience in Information Technology required.
