The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) to support Xylem’s Water Solutions & Services (WSS) segment. In this role, you will strengthen the partnership between IT and the WSS Manufacturing and Integrated Supply Chain organizations. You will deeply understand business strategies, identify where technology can accelerate results, and ensure IT services align to business priorities.
You will serve as the primary liaison between business leaders and IT, leveraging your knowledge of business processes, advanced analytical capability, and strong communication skills to drive strategic alignment, innovation, and successful delivery across portfolios.
Core Responsibilities
Stakeholder Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders to understand their goals, challenges, and priorities.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all IT-related inquiries for WSS.
Ensure timely, effective communication between IT and business stakeholders.
Strategic Alignment & Roadmap Ownership
Translate business objectives into IT strategies, roadmaps, and actionable initiatives.
Identify opportunities where technology can improve efficiency, quality, or innovation.
Maintain scorecards and visibility into critical initiatives, projects, and IT services to ensure alignment with company goals.
Governance, Compliance & Funding Support
Guide the business through funding requests, approvals, and intake processes.
Ensure architectural alignment and adherence to IT governance, security, SOX, and compliance standards.
Monitor IT performance and provide regular updates to business leadership.
Change Management & Communication
Champion IT-driven change and ensure smooth adoption across WSS and Supply Chain teams.
Create communication and education plans to help business users understand upcoming changes, capabilities, and impacts.
Conduct deep-dive data analysis to support decision-making.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies.
Recommend solutions that improve performance, reduce operational friction, or streamline processes.
Identify opportunities to automate and enhance workflows in both IT and business teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
10+ years in IT Business Relationship Management, IT governance, or related IT leadership roles.
Proven track record of delivering complex IT initiatives and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
Expert-level analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data and produce strategic insights.
Hands-on experience working with:
SAP (S/4HANA, ECC)
CRM platforms (Salesforce, MS Dynamics)
CPQ solutions
Reporting tools & dashboards
Strong proficiency with Power BI, Databricks, Informatica, MS Project, SharePoint.
Experience leading Agile/Scrum processes and SDLC methodologies.
7+ years translating business requirements into optimized designs and developing business cases.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including negotiation and stakeholder management.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments.
Background in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or the Water Industry is a plus.
Travel expected 10–20% annually.
