Inside the RoleThe Lead Business Systems Analyst acts as a liaison between the IT development group and business units for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems. The Lead Business Systems Analyst manages department or cross-functional programs of notable risk, resource requirements and/or complexity. Serves as the subject matter expert on corporate systems provides support for both DDC user community and project teams.
This position serves as the Lead Business Systems Analyst in the IT group and will provide guidance to other team members. The position will interact directly with cross-functional personnel from finance, human resources, payroll, Purchasing, and software development teams. This individual will leverage their expertise to act as the single point of contact to in support of IT solutions rollouts, development teams, and user community. The involvement on these projects includes requirements, coordination with development teams, and testing tasks. Communication with contacts inside and outside of our own team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures is a critical task. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for coordination, supervision, execution and optimization of DDC’s IT budget and project portfolio (Operative Planning, Expected Actuals, Forecast and year-end closing);
• Preparation of presentations for decision bodies.
• Administration and Enhancement of used FM-Tools, esp. PaRISS (planning), cbFC (actuals); maintenance of used cost objects.
• Coordination of IT Project Portfolio & cost planning (esp. for operative planning cycle); ensure funding within project approval process (incl. FM Compliance Checks).
• Service Agreement tracking and administration

- Provide documentation for software/hardware upgrades
- Remote into servers to troubleshoot issues and provide solutions
- Subject Matter Expert for Business Analysts in the IT department
- Uses sophisticated analytical thought to solve highly complex problems and identify innovate solutions
- Acts as an advisor to management and key external stakeholders on broad ranging projects
- Uses experience to contribute to standards in which others will operate
- Communicates with parties within and outside of own department which may include consultants, vendors, and central corporate teammates
- Virtual machine experience; test environment preparation at machine builder, independent troubleshooting and facilitation of remote support sessions
- Gather and present information such as budget forecasts and project updates to executive management
- Contributor to continuous improvement, documentation, and standardization processes as it relates to business applications, as well as departmental practices.
- Basic knowledge of MS-Windows file sharing, PC networking, client OS configuration, etc.
- Coordinate and track the department’s project portfolio
- Oversee service agreements and help identify opportunities to reduce cost and provide transparency to the services provided
- Lead multiple projects and provide status updates to executive management
- Works under minimal supervision.
Knowledge You Should Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field with 5 years of relevant experience
- IT Project Management Experience
- Budgeting experience, including software, hardware, services, assets, and resource management
- Knowledge in business processes & business strategy
- Experience with collaborating with business partners and supporting and delivering IT solutions
- Experience in IT Service Management and knowledge of IT tool (JIRA, MS Project, etc.)
- Knowledge of Agile project management methods
- Excellent analytical thinking
- Attention to detail with good perception and observation skills
- Problem-solving skills, emotional intelligence, business acumen
- Ability to connect policy, projects, and operations
- Strong presentation & communication skills
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
- Master’s degree in information technology
- Over 7 years of IT Experience
- ITIL Foundations
- Manufacturing Experience
