StrongDM is driven by a clear mission: Secure Access, Zero Trust.

We design products and solutions that reflect this commitment, transforming the way organizations manage privileged access across their critical infrastructure. By leading with Zero Trust Privileged Access Management (PAM), we help our customers achieve secure, dynamic, and fine-grained control over access to their most sensitive resources. This focus on security has earned us an industry-leading 98% customer retention rate.

Once a customer, forever a fan. That's our goal.

When you work at StrongDM, you join a team committed to solving today’s security challenges with technology that works and customers who trust us to protect their most critical assets.

If you ask anyone at StrongDM, you’ll find that our values truly guide everything we do—from how we innovate to how we treat each other. These values are the foundation of our culture and define who we are as a company. It may sound cliché, but we’re onto something great—and G2 agrees.

We embrace the mission

We pursue mastery

We win together

These are the principles we embody as an organization. They influence how we work as individuals and teams, and what we look for in candidates who join us. We’re glad you’re here! If this sounds like an environment where you’d thrive, read on.

At StrongDM, we don’t just build privileged access management software—we make security actually usable. Our IT Team is the secret sauce behind keeping sharp minds moving fast, securely, and SSO’d. We’re cloud-native, SaaS-loaded, and automation-obsessed.

We’re looking for an IT Engineer who can interconnect all our IT toys like Okta, Jamf, and countless SaaS apps. Someone who can architect seamless, scalable IT experiences that delight users, reduce friction, and accelerate productivity—because when systems flow, teams grow. If troubleshooting is just another form of meditation and you get a thrill from making onboarding seamless and access airtight—you’re our kind of human.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage our corporate cloud infrastructure using IaC tools, CI/CD pipelines, scripting, and automation
  • Create playbooks, scripts, and automations for repeatable tasks
  • Collaborate on designs and architecture, then drive implementation with autonomy—solo or leading a team effort
  • Build systems to be updated and scaled with minimal impact on internal users
  • Continuously evaluate and improve IT tools, processes, and workflows
  • Provide support to our IT helpdesk team and assist internal users

Requirements:

  • Working in cloud service provider environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Writing, maintaining, and deploying infrastructure using Terraform
  • Supporting and administering macOS, Windows, and *nix systems
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (which language isn’t as important as capability)
  • And you bring the mindset to match:
  • You stay calm during incidents, focus on root cause—not blame—and help the team learn and improve
  • You document what you build and fix, because knowledge-hoarding ≠ job security
  • You understand that IT exists to support the business; collaboration and humility are non-negotiable
  • You bring a “Yes, and…” attitude, own your mistakes, and proactively drive improvements wherever you see the opportunity
  • You can engage across all levels—from ICs to execs—and tailor your approach to the person and the problem
  • You thrive in a high-growth startup and know that great internal support is part of what makes scale possible
  • Available to work standard CST or EST hours

Compensation:

  • $150,000-$170,000 DOE + equity salary packages
  • Company-sponsored benefits, including:
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance (free to employees and dependents)
  • 401K, HSA, FSA, short/long-term disability coverage, life insurance
  • 6 weeks of combined accrued vacation + sick time
  • Volunteer days + standard holidays
  • 24 weeks paid parental leave for everyone + 1 month transition time back + childcare stipend for first year
  • Generous monthly and annual stipend for internet + home office
