This position is available to Virginia residents as Richmond or Lynchburg, VA Hybrid in-office applicants or remote applicants residing in states/locations under Eastern or Central Standard Time: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington DC, Vermont, West Virginia or Wisconsin.

    

YOUR ROLE

The IT Application Controls Enablement Manager will support a future-proof technology foundation by enabling the management of IT controls for USLI Business Applications in alignment with overall IT GRC efforts and in coordination with business operations controls efforts. The IT Controls Enablement Manager will work closely with IT Risk/Security and Application/Control Owners to promote effective IT controls for all business applications required by Genworth’s Data Security Cybersecurity Program (DSCP) in providing reliable and trustworthy systems which support growth and innovation without compromising compliance to regulatory requirements.

What you will be doing

  • Promote an “under control” mindset throughout the USLI IT Business Applications organization which proactively aligns resources/efforts to facilitate a holistic, comprehensive, and collaborative approach to maintaining compliance with Genworth’s DSCP policies/guidelines.
  • Support Application Owners and Control Owners in maintaining effective application controls, and related documentation, including system topology and data process/flow mapping.
  • Assess and recommend enhancements to automate reporting for IT control processes, including interactions with supported operational business units and controls.
  • Promote collaboration between IT Risk/Security, auditors, and Application/Control Owners. Serve as liaison with internal/external auditors as needed, especially with SOC 1 process.
  • Participate in assessing control deficiencies, determining effects, and creating remediation plans. Maintain awareness of the status and progress of control remediation activities.
  • Participate in IT risk assessments and control scoping efforts to identify and mitigate compliance risks. Maintain a list of IT Control enhancements to improve the effectiveness of controls and address any potential concerns related to USLI Business Applications.
  • Maintain relationship with IT Risk/Security to stay informed about IT control automation and continuous monitoring initiatives, as well as the ongoing implementation and utilization of ServiceNow Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).
  • Collaborate with PMO, especially Technology Transformation, to promote adoption of SDLC practices among USLI Business Applications delivery teams which reflect awareness of and adoption of related IT Controls.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience in Information Technology management.
  • A broad understanding of technology assets/resources and enterprise architecture.
  • Experience in managing applications, processes, or programs subject to compliance.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.

Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of types of IT controls specified in NIST 800-53r5 and SOX.
  • Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) from ISC2, COSO IC Certificate, and/or COBIT Foundation.
  • Experience with IT Audit -- ability to understand control objectives from an audit perspective.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and reporting.

The base salary pay range for this role starts at a minimum rate of $ 91,800 up to the maximum of $181,200. In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible to participate in an incentive plan. The incentive plan is based on performance and the target earning opportunity is 10% of your base compensation.  The final determination on base pay for this position will be based on multiple factors at the time of this job posting including but not limited to geographic location, experience, and qualifications to ensure pay equity within the organization.
