IT Analyst I - Applications
Role Definition:
Supports the IT function by assisting with the operation, support, and improvement of manufacturing and office systems.
What You Will Do:
  • Participates in IT supporting manufacturing and office systems, including system configuration, monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Assists in preparing technical and procedural documentation related to system usage and support processes.
  • Assists with creating and maintaining process flows and system diagrams to illustrate system interactions and operational logic.
  • Participates in contributing solutions to system operations and support activities, including system setup, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Skill Descriptors:
  • Core Manufacturing and Office Systems: Knowledge of major manufacturing and office systems used to support business operations and service delivery to internal and external clients; ability to leverage production and office systems in diverse situations.
  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process issues; ability to apply problem-solving methods appropriately in diverse situations.
  • Systems Design and Architecture: Knowledge of basic system design concepts and technical architecture; ability to understand how manufacturing and office systems are structured and supported within the organization.
  • Systems Implementation and Support: Knowledge of how manufacturing and office systems are implemented, maintained, and supported; ability to assist with system rollouts, upgrades, and end-user support.
  • Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques used to gather and document business and system requirements; ability to assist in identifying operational needs to support successful system enhancements or changes.
  • System and Technology Integration: Knowledge of system features and capabilities; ability to support integration and communication between manufacturing systems, office systems, databases, and technology platforms.

Education/Experience: Degree or equivalent experience desired

  • The primary location for this position is Clayton, NC.
  • This role requires 5 days onsite.
  • Relocation is NOT available.

Summary Pay Range:
$81,370.00 - $122,060.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
