About Lucid Bots

Lucid Bots is an AI robotics company building the world’s most productive and responsible robots. Our mission is simple: extend human reach. We design intelligent machines that take on dangerous, demanding, and repetitive work—so people don’t have to.

Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, we design, engineer, manufacture, and support our products in the United States. Our production-ready robots are deployed by customers around the world to improve safety, increase productivity, and elevate operational standards.

We are one of the fastest-growing manufacturing companies in the United States, recently ranked fourth nationally. Backed by leading investors including Y Combinator (S19), Cubit Capital, Idea Fund Partners, Danu Ventures, and others, we are scaling quickly at the intersection of AI, hardware, and real-world impact.

We’re building more than robots—we’re building the future of physical AI.

Our Core Values and How We Work Together

At Lucid Bots, we’re building something extraordinary - and how we work matters just as much as what we build. These values guide how we hire, grow, and show up for one another.

  • Expedition Behavior - We climb as one. No silos, no “that’s not my job.” We protect the team and share the load.

  • Grow with Humility - We’re relentless learners. We seek feedback, own mistakes, and get better every day.

  • Lift People Up - Humans come first. We care fiercely, speak honestly, and design for real people in real conditions.

  • Build the Extraordinary - We take ownership, reject the ordinary, and run toward hard problems.

We live Above the Line: we take responsibility, create solutions, and shape the future.
If these values energize you, you’ll thrive here. If they feel like too much, this may not be the right climb - and that’s okay.

Goal of This Role

The IT & AI Deployment Engineer will keep our team operational and connected day-to-day: devices, access, systems support, and the tooling that helps people do their jobs. Beyond classic IT support, this role also gets hands-on with AI tool rollouts and integrations — helping evaluate, configure, and deploy the tools that make our team faster and smarter.

This isn't a ticket-queue-only IT role. You'll work across every team in the company, build automations that save real time, and be close to the frontier of how AI tooling is actually applied in a business context.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage day-to-day IT operations: device provisioning, SaaS access, onboarding/offboarding, and user troubleshooting
  • Support core infrastructure: networks, endpoints, and basic security configurations
  • Research, evaluate, and help deploy AI tools being rolled out across the business
  • Build and maintain lightweight automations and integrations that connect our tools and reduce manual work
  • Support team adoption of new tools — helping people get set up and unstuck
  • Partner with teams across the company to understand systems pain points and surface solutions
  • Maintain clear, current documentation for all systems and processes
Who You Are
  • You have a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
  • You understand IT infrastructure fundamentals: devices, networking basics, SaaS tools, and access management
  • You have familiarity with at least one scripting/programming language (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
  • You're a clear communicator who can explain technical concepts to non-technical teammates
  • You're drawn to broken processes and want to fix them — not just flag them
  • You document as you go and don't let knowledge live only in your head
  • You're curious about AI and how it applies to real operational problems, not just the hype

What We Expect You to Achieve in This Role
  • IT operations run smoothly within 60 days: devices provisioned on time, SaaS access clean, and onboarding/offboarding moving without gaps.
  • Support the successful deployment of at least 2 AI tools across the business within the first 6 months.
  • Build and maintain current documentation for all core systems, configurations, and recurring IT processes by month 4.
  • Build and deliver your first lightweight automation or integration that reduces manual work for at least one team within 6 months.
  • Become a reliable, accessible resource for cross-functional systems support.

Why Join Lucid Bots?
  • Be at the forefront of revolutionizing safety and efficiency with robotics technology.
  • Work with a passionate and innovative team that values creativity and collaboration.
  • Enjoy opportunities for mentorship, continuous learning, and professional growth.
  • Contribute to a values-driven environment that prioritizes innovation, excellence, and meaningful impact.
  • Competitive salary and performance-based commission structure.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and retirement plans.
Benefits:
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 3% retirement match
  • 15 days of paid time off (PTO)
  • 11 paid holidays
  • Company employee option plan
  • Other benefits
Additional Notes

This role is based in Charlotte, NC. Partial hybrid flexibility possible, but significant on-site presence is expected.
