About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Paralegal with a strong background in patent prosecution. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and European Patent Office (EPO). This role offers the opportunity to work closely with our legal team, managing a diverse portfolio of domestic and international patent applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file U.S. patent applications, including continuations, divisionals, and responses to Office Actions.
- Manage international patent filings under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) via WIPO's ePCT system.
- Coordinate European patent filings and prosecution processes through the EPO.
- Maintain and monitor IP docketing systems to track deadlines and ensure timely filings.
- Draft and manage formal documents such as Information Disclosure Statements (IDS), assignments, and declarations.
- Liaise with foreign associates and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and process flow.
- Prepare and file U.S. and Foreign trademark applications.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in patent prosecution, with substantial exposure to USPTO, WIPO, and EPO procedures.
- Proficiency in patent docketing software and electronic filing systems.
- Strong understanding of U.S. and international patent laws and regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Paralegal certification or equivalent educational background preferred.
This is a full time, exempt position. The target base pay for this position is $80,000 - $125,000 annually. The total compensation packaged will be determined by various factors such as your relevant job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We are redefining how satellites are designed, manufactured and used—so we’re looking for candidates with passion, deep knowledge and direct experience on LEO satellite component development, design and in-orbit activities.
