The role supports the oversight of taxable fixed income fund products and involves diverse activities including the collection, aggregation, analysis and reporting of performance, performance attribution and risk management data. This role is part of a team with highly visible activities related to investment team oversight, Board of Directors reporting, and active contributions to new product and product management projects.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Serve as a subject matter expert responsible for relationship management and oversight of taxable fixed income investment teams and strategies
- Evaluate and monitor fund/strategy performance including quarterly performance and risk reviews with portfolio managers, research analysts and CIOs
- Prepare quarterly and annual Board materials and present findings to various audiences
- Develop clear and concise reports and analysis for a variety of strategies, and present findings to various audiences
- Research and report on developing strategy trends
- Conduct manager capability assessments of assigned investment teams through evaluation of process, performance and other factors; perform due diligence on new investment managers and strategies
- Support Product Development & Management partners as necessary including manager due diligence and policy/guideline implementation
- Partner with Nuveen Investment Risk to review and interpret investment risk data
