ABOUT THE PROGRAM – Summer 2025 Internship

As an intern at Invenergy, you will have the opportunity to: 

 

  • Expand your knowledge and skills while gaining hands-on professional experience. 

  • Engage with leaders throughout the organization and learn about the clean energy industry through weekly lunch-and-learns. 

  • Visit our nearby power plants: Grand Ridge Energy Center and Nelson Energy Center 

  • Spend a day giving back to the community with our ‘Volunteer Time Off’ program. 

  • Have lunch with our CEO and Founder, Michael Polsky 

  • Attend a networking mixer to learn more about and engage with representatives from our various affinity groups.

  • Explore Chicago with your fellow interns. 

  • Our program takes place from June – August lasting for 10-12 weeks. 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

  • Assistance supporting on/offboarding projects.

  • AI work support and functionality.

  • Business application efforts.

  • Support deck creation for selections of software/tooling.

  • Potential to lead and own special research or organizational project pending specific needs at the time. 

  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year bachelor’s degree program with an expected graduation date of Summer 2027. 

  • Majoring in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other business-related disciplines.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. 

  • Demonstrated interest in the renewable energy or clean energy sector. 

Base Pay

22.00 - 25.00 USD Hourly

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Your recruiter can share more about the base pay for this internship opportunity during the hiring process. 

Interns may be eligible to contribute to a 401k.
