Job Summary:
Caterpillar IT is looking for a Business Lead to drive the growth of Intelligent Automation COE offerings across the Caterpillar Enterprise. This role is accountable for managing relationships with business partners that will benefit from using Intelligent Automation technology - Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Business Process Automation (BPA), Process Discovery & Mining (PDM) and many Power Platform tools. By engaging in and facilitating discussions that provide a mutual understanding of business and automation technology, the IA Business Lead will drive benefits into the business.
The selected candidate will also be the owner of IA onboarding processes. This includes everything associated with being a process owner, such as managing ongoing improvements, establishing and monitoring metrics, automating redundant steps, and removing roadblocks for resources. The IA Business Lead is also responsible for several managed service development teams which includes all associated attributes such as the pipeline of work, solution design, resource planning, estimates, etc.
What You Will Do:
• Frequently meet with business partners to promote the use of automation technologies
• Manage IA Onboarding Processes that move use case ideas from development to production
• Document and advertise the benefits of Intelligent Automation services in general and for specific business partner use cases
• Provide quotes for automating business processes that include cost and benefits
• Establish resource plans to deliver development requests
• Establish and manage a matrix of Intelligent Automation champions embedded throughout the business
• Manage relationships with suppliers who have Intelligent Automation capabilities to deliver results
What You Have:
• 10+ years of experience managing a complex process as a process owner
• 5+ years of experience working with India based resources
• Business or IT Related Degree
• 8+ years of experience at Caterpillar in at least 3 business units
• 5+ years experience translating technical specification into business terms for leaders
• 5+ years experience leading complex projects that span multiple business units
• Master Degree
• Team Leader Experience
• Black Belt Certification
• History of initiative and driving complex projects

  • The primary locations are Peoria, IL, Dallas TX, and Nashville TN
  • Relocation assistance available
  • MUST BE WILLING TO RELOCATE TO THIS LOCATION AND Work out of the office 5 times a week.
  • This position may require 10% travel.

Summary Pay Range:
$126,000.00 - $204,720.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
