What’s the Job?

The Business Analyst (BA) delivers rapid, value-driven customer solutions for complex insurance business problems. Playing a key role in determining the optimal use of Novidea’s product per customer, the BA is a liaison between the customer side and our internal implementation and development teams. The BA collaborates with end users and project staff to evaluate the system and turns business goals into technical requirements for our agile teams.


What You’ll Do

  • Analyze and define application problems gathered from customers and partners; evaluate procedures and processes to identify alternative workflow solutions
  • Perform gap analysis using industry and platform expertise
  • Design and manage business solutions by establishing specifications; coordinating development of solutions with development teams
  • Perform user acceptance testing of processes to validate results
  • Create technical documentation to provide references for the agile team

What You Bring

  • Extensive experience with and understanding of the US insurance market- a must
  • AMS experience
  • Foundational understanding of the policy lifecycle: quoting, underwriting, policy administration and renewals
  • Experience working on designing and architecting Insurance Services solutions while working closely with implementation teams, using agile development techniques
  • Experience with various activities across the software lifecycle, including design, documentation writing, development processes, requirements, and architecture
  • Ability to be a team player
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A thirst for knowledge
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
