About this role:
We are seeking an experienced Security Principal Engineer to join our dynamic and expanding cybersecurity team. This individual will be responsible for providing expert-level guidance and executing strategies across a diverse range of security topics, including but not limited to Security Logging & Monitoring, Endpoint Security, Network Security, and Infrastructure Security Baseline Configurations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in information security, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead initiatives to enhance our security infrastructure.
In this role, you will:
  • Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groups
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
  • Translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions
  • Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions
  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization
  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership
  • Provide technical leadership and expert guidance on security strategies and initiatives
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for Security Logging & Monitoring, Endpoint Security, Network Security, and Infrastructure Security Baseline Configurations
  • Conduct assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend necessary security enhancements
  • Collaborate with different teams within the organization to ensure the consistent application of security policies and standards
  • Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, and incorporate this knowledge into security policies and protocols
  • Participate in the resolution of high-profile security challenges, providing technical expertise
  • Train and mentor other members of the security team, promoting a culture of security awareness across the organization
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 7+ years of experience in information security areas such as; Security Logging & Monitoring, Endpoint Security, Network Security, and Infrastructure Security Configurations
  • 5+ years using various security technologies and tools, including but not limited to SIEM, IDS/IPS, anti-malware, vulnerability scanning, and encryption
  • 5+ years technical leadership and proven expert guidance on security strategies and initiatives.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide team members
  • Keen attention to detail, with a commitment to high standards in security
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Master's degree or other advanced degree is also preferred
  • Hold relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH
  • Deep understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and security controls
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and understanding of associated security challenges and best practices
  • Solid knowledge of networking protocols and infrastructure
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Job Expectations:
  • This is a hybrid role and will be required to be on-site in one of the locations listed on the job posting

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$159,000.00 - $279,000.00
