Job responsibilities
- Applies technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope
- Drives a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies
- Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
- Executes creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity
- Strongly considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advises on mitigation actions
- Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
- Deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments
- Deep knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.)
- Strong skills in designing and implementing high-performance, fault-tolerant systems across complex environments
- Ability to design and implement comprehensive monitoring strategies to ensure system reliability, performance, and security.
- Strong drive to expand infrastructure engineering knowledge across emerging technologies and domains
- Strong domain experience across infrastructure disciplines, with deep expertise in Distributed Computing (Linux/Windows), Storage solutions (Block/File/Object), and proficiency in Networking terminology and protocol
- Proven experience with scripting and automation languages, including Python, PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform, for implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) and managing configuration to enhance operational efficiency and consistency.
- Extensive experience with leading observability tools, including Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, and Splunk, for effective monitoring, alerting, and analytics to ensure system reliability and performance
- Expertise in public cloud platforms, including AWS / Azure, with the ability to lead migrations and optimize cloud solutions for cost efficiency and performance
- Strong skills in designing and implementing high-performance, fault-tolerant systems across complex environments.
