- The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Informatica experience, to help with build out/configuration/clustering/best practices/troubleshooting/performance tuning for Informatica, both Linux and Windows 2008.
- In a lead role, I expect the ideal candidate to have a good understanding of Informatica Power Center, Data Quality, Metadata Manager, Proactive Monitoring, and Sales force adapter, plus. We currently support Informatica HA, GRID, etc. and various formats of data. We will need to migrate from 9.1 and 9.5 to 9.6 in 2015.
- The candidate who is selected will work on this team and must be able to support all the apps within this purview. Needs to understand licensing, architecture, and other aspects of the Overall Informatica product.
Responsibilities:
- Administer Security, including Native and LDAP security. Implement capacity management, performance best practice guidelines, and monitoring.
- Implement backup and restore strategies. Handle production issues, as well supporting the Development team in the non-prod environments.
- Perform (and automate) object deployments on versioned repositories from DEV to QA to Stage/UAT.
- Administer Production deployments.
- Coordinate Power Center technical review/approval before on-boarding new projects to shared platform.
- Basic understanding of ITIL principles and framework. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Qualifications:
- Experience in Installing Informatica on UNIX, including upgrading versions and applying patches.
- Experience with Power Center Enterprise HA (Grid a plus).
- Setup and administer Power Center security, including LDAP setup.
- Experience with Power Exchange.
- Implement backup strategies of Informatica environment (per environment).
- Handled production issues (as well supporting the Development team in the non-prod environments).
- Managed Informatica ETL mapping jobs. Formulated ETL objects and coordinated synchronization of maps.
- Implement capacity management and performance best practice guidelines and monitoring.
