Job Title: Industrial/Organizational Psychologist

Overview:
OBAN is currently searching for an Industrial and Organizational (I/O) Psychologist to provide recommendations to modernize career progression processes, enabling greater flexibility for job incumbents and allowing leadership to reassign personnel as needed to meet mission requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct needs assessment to review existing career progression materials and practices.
- Analyze current career progression frameworks, processes, etc.
- Obtain stakeholder insights through focus groups, interviews, or surveys.
- Analyze data using statistical methods to evaluate and improve organizational effectiveness.
- Conduct benchmarking and identification of best practices.
- Recommend and develop career progression models based on needs assessment.
- Develop implementation strategies, roadmaps and tools.
- Create reports and briefings to present to leadership.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or master’s in industrial/organizational psychology from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years conducting job analysis, assessments, and workforce studies.
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a top-secret security clearance and be a U.S. Citizen.
- Proficiency in designing studies, collecting data, and applying statistical analysis to understand workforce issues and develop solutions.
- Strong abilities in both written and verbal communication to effectively convey findings and recommendations to various stakeholders.
- The ability to interpret complex data and use it to make informed decisions about HR policies, employee training, and organizational development.
- Familiarity with statistical software (like SPSS, R, or SAS) and computer applications used in data analysis and report generation.
- Ability to work and communicate with different levels of staff and management.
- Additional licensures, certifications, or training in specific assessment tools, statistical software, or methodologies relevant to industrial and organizational psychology is a plus.
