About Us:
Challenger Breadware manufactures and sells bakeware and baking tools for home bakers. We are best known for our flagship & patented product, the Challenger Bread Pan®, which was designed to help people more easily bake delicious, bakery quality bread at home. 

In addition to the pan, we also offer an assortment of products centered around bread baking, as well as provide education through our techniques, video tutorials, and newsletters.

Position Overview:
We seek a highly organized and independent bookkeeper to assist with our financial management on an independent contractor and part-time basis.  The position will also entail customer service, inventory management, and various ad hoc initiatives supporting the business.  The ideal candidate must be proficient in QuickBooks, have strong Excel skills, and be comfortable handling sensitive and repetitive tasks with accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and reconcile accounts in QuickBooks
  • Process PO’s. invoices, payments, and expenses
  • Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in records
  • Assist with tax preparation and reporting
  • Prepare sales & use tax filings
  • Perform other bookkeeping-related tasks as needed
  • There will be other business initiatives including: customer service (processing customer returns/cancellations and occasional email interactions), coordination with fulfillment, inventory (costing & management), and other ad hoc requirements 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a small business environment
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online / Advanced)
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data organization)
  • Detail-oriented and capable of handling tedious financial tasks with accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy in financial matters

Job Details:

  • Independent Contractor (Part-Time): Estimated 10-15 hours per week
  • Monthly rate based on experience
