Role Overview:

Could you be our next Incontestable Claims Examiner I? Globe Life is looking for an Incontestable Claims Examiner I to join the team!

This role is responsible for reviewing all aspects of incontestable life insurance claims and determining how to process them in accordance with policy provisions and company procedures. The Incontestable Examiner I is responsible for keeping claims moving through each stage of processing across multiple claims systems and works directly with agents, funeral homes, coroners, and policy owner services to gather and confirm claim information.

This is a remote/work-from-home position.

What You Will Do:

  • Review and process life insurance claims outside the two-year contestability window in accordance with policy provisions and company procedures.

  • Conduct multi-point claim reviews, including coverage searches, policy reinstatements, application and effective date comparisons, and correspondence requests.

  • Evaluate claims to determine whether referral to an external investigative party is warranted.

  • Process claims across multiple systems, maintaining accurate and up-to-date notes on claim status and progress.

  • Communicate with agents, beneficiaries, funeral homes, coroners, and other third parties to gather and verify claim information.

  • Provide timely updates to beneficiaries throughout the claims process.

  • Escalate complex or problematic claims to the appropriate examiner, supervisor, or manager.

  • Meet departmental production quotas while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and quality.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience working in a production or high-volume processing environment.

  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member.

  • Previous data entry experience preferred.

  • Prior experience in the insurance industry or in a claims handling role preferred.
