Position Summary

The Implementation Specialist Manager leads a team of Implementation Specialists responsible for delivering successful PowerCore customer implementations. This role oversees people, projects, and customer relationships while partnering with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales to deliver scalable implementation strategies and exceptional customer outcomes.

Position Details

  • Salary range: $170,000-$195,000 plus bonus
  • Location: Remote-US
  • Type: Full-time
  • Reporting to: Senior Director, Professional Services
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 20-30% depending on client needs and project milestones

Primary Responsibilities

Team Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Implementation Specialists and Business Analysts through hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development.
  • Manage team capacity, project assignments, and resource allocation.
  • Foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Project Delivery
  • Oversee multiple concurrent customer implementations from discovery through go-live.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with customer requirements.
  • Monitor project health, utilization, delivery KPIs, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage implementation risks, escalations, and complex customer issues.
Customer Success
  • Serve as the executive point of contact for strategic customer implementations.
  • Guide customers through solution design, deployment, testing, training, and adoption.
  • Build trusted customer relationships while resolving complex implementation challenges.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales to prioritize customer needs.
  • Provide implementation feedback to improve products and service delivery.
  • Develop and refine implementation methodologies, documentation, and best practices.
Technical Leadership
  • Provide technical guidance on APIs, SQL, integrations, and data exchanges.
  • Review implementation designs, testing strategies, and deployment plans.
  • Support complex customer integrations and serve as the escalation point for technical implementation issues..
Operational Excellence
  • Monitor implementation KPIs including utilization, project delivery, customer satisfaction, and quality.
  • Drive continuous improvement through operational metrics, customer feedback, resource planning, and process optimization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software implementation, professional services, systems integration, or solution delivery.
  • 3+ years of direct people management experience.
  • Experience managing multiple customer implementations simultaneously.
  • Strong project management, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence outcomes.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading Professional Services or Implementation teams.
  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of North American ISO/RTO markets and wholesale electricity analytics or optimization tools.
  • Experience developing implementation methodologies, playbooks, and operational metrics.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and project portfolio management.

  • Experience leading implementation teams supporting CAISO or SPP market participants.
  • Proven success scaling implementation organizations.
  • Experience improving implementation KPIs such as time-to-value, customer satisfaction, utilization, and project profitability.
  • Leadership experience within the energy, utility, SaaS, enterprise software, or power markets industries.
