About the Role

The K12 Partnership Success Team at Daybreak is responsible for new school district launches and activation, as well as contract renewals and expansions. The Implementation Project Manager (IPM) will play a key role in ensuring that districts launch smoothly and activate quickly. The IPM will be responsible for timely and accurate staff account creation and product configuration, working with school district IT personnel on secure file transfers, effective tracking and management of launch and activation milestones and dependencies, and keeping all launch materials updated through collaboration with content owners. The IPM will work closely with Account Managers and Customer Success Managers keep launches on track and ensure we are prioritizing our efforts to have the most impact. Through strong project management the IPM will directly impact the team’s launch and activation KPIs. Additionally, the IPM will play a key role in the mid-July through  October back to school season where we will re-launch over 100 school districts and launch an estimated 30 new school districts.

The ideal candidate will bring the following experience:

  • Project management / organization-  has project managed a large portfolio of multi-step client implementations, keeping everything on track while flagging risk and dependencies
  • SAAS technical onboarding- has performed technical onboarding for new clients including product configuration and setting up secure file transfers.
  • Client-facing support experience- has worked with external clients to support technical product set-up and troubleshooting; has experience acting as an external representative of the company
  • Startup Orientation- loves the energy, scrappiness, and constant evolution that comes with working in a start-up.

What You’ll Do

Project Management of School District Launches 

  • Track milestones across first 60 days of all customer launches including technical onboarding, kickoff meeting completed, referring staff training, first referral submitted, and district referral pace goal attainment. Flag areas of risk and intervene to ensure that timelines are met.
  • Keep all launch data organized in Salesforce and google sheets and provide a weekly report out to CSMs and AMs on the state of launches and any risk or blockers

Technical Onboarding

  • Oversee initial and ongoing product configuration in internal systems
  • Set up referring staff accounts through SFTP file upload
  • Collaborate with district IT teams on how to share files securely through an SFTP server, and help district teams set up SFTP file integration for districts that use Daybreak’s universal screener
  • Work with Product and Engineering team to resolve any technical blockers to launch

Other Responsibilities 

  • Serve as team technical expert for staff staff account creation and referral submission, acting as an internal resource for CSMs & CELs needing support before going to #tech-concierge
  • Lead project management of special projects such as back to school district “re-launches” and Daybreak inclusion in student enrollment packets
  • Keep launch materials updated as programs and policies change. This includes slide decks, promotional materials, product enablement materials, district project plan templates, etc.

Compensation

Daybreak’s compensation is a mix of cash and equity- we are projecting that this role will have salary range between 60k-62k per year. As a high-growth company on a mission, we value employees who are fully bought in and want to be owners of the company. We offer competitive cash compensation and above-market equity, ensuring long-term ownership and upside.
