About Canals

Canals builds software for wholesale distributors, helping them operate more efficiently through automation and AI.

Our customers are the companies responsible for moving the materials that power the real economy; electrical supplies, plumbing products, roofing materials, HVAC equipment, and more. Every day, thousands of people rely on Canals to help process orders, manage purchasing, handle accounts payable, and streamline critical business workflows.

We're a profitable, rapidly growing company with a team of roughly 100 people distributed across North and South America. We care deeply about building great products, hiring exceptional people, and creating an environment where talented individuals can do the best work of their careers.

The Role

We’re hiring an Implementation Engineer for ERP integrations to help customers connect their ERP systems — including Eclipse, P21, and Infor — with Canals.

You’ll play a central role in onboarding and implementation: configuring integrations, validating data flows, and becoming an expert in how Canals interacts with distributor ERPs. You’ll support customers both pre-sale and post-sale, joining technical discovery calls when ERP-specific guidance is needed and owning the hands-on integration work once a customer signs.

This is a technical, customer-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys understanding how systems communicate and wants to build deep expertise in the ERP ecosystem.

What You’ll Do
  • Implement integrations between Canals and integration partners, including ERPs (Eclipse, P21, Infor, SAP, Acumatica), using standardized templates and API credentials

  • Become an ERP subject-matter expert, understanding how each system handles data, access, authentication, and configuration.

  • Join pre-sale discovery calls to evaluate feasibility and answer ERP-specific technical questions.

  • Lead post-sale integration work: collect access details, configure endpoints, run tests on APIs to establish new data integrations, and validate end-to-end data flow.

  • Troubleshoot integration issues, escalating to the Lead Support Engineer or Engineering when needed.

  • Participate in customer onboarding and go-live calls as the technical owner of the integration process.

  • Document integration steps, ERP nuances, and repeatable best practices for internal and customer use.

  • Collaborate closely with Customer Success, Support, Product, and Engineering to ensure each integration goes live smoothly.

  • Occasionally cover on support (Zendesk) as needed.

What You’ll Bring
  • Typically, 2–4 years in a technical implementation, technical account management, integrations, or customer engineering role at a SaaS company

  • Excitement to work directly with customers, managing implementations and troubleshooting integration issues

  • Familiarity with APIs, REST endpoints, authentication methods, and JSON payloads

  • Experience with ERPs or a strong desire to learn systems like Eclipse, P21, and Infor in depth

  • Strong communication skills — able to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical users

  • Excellent organization and project management abilities

  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, fully remote environment with high ownership

  • English proficiency required; Spanish or Portuguese a plus
